Blessings in disguise

Today was a big day for me. A very good and big day.
My morning was spent with a member of my healthcare/support team. His name is James.
James has been helping my body get back on track over the last couple of years from issues that stem from Diabetes and Hypothyroidism.
Today, this morning to be exact... at 9:33 was approximately the conclusion of a monumental personal/physical goal. It may seem small to others that have dealt with this issue but for me it has been HUGE!
You know how they always say when it rains it pours,  things always happening at the most inconvenient times. It has been that way for me. Its been a time filled with many blessings that far outweigh the cons yet all of these things happened while going through some pretty major life adjustments. Things like going back to school, downsizing my business, getting married, depending on someone else for financial support. Many of these experiences have had big fears needing to be faced and they are all good adjustments I might add.

This blessing in disguise has taught me

*Strength through physical exhaustion

*Permission to fall and get back up many  times

*Complete vulnerability with my health care provider ...
(breakin down kind of vulnerability that was met with kindness, privacy, empathy and a box of tissues.)

*Monumental patience, love & support from my sweet husband

*Personal body acceptance

*learning to celebrate large and small changes and adjustments

*More awareness in my body & spirit

*And definitely a lot more participation from me

*Ohh and a LOT of letting go

It has been years of dealing with these blessings in disguise, a lot more than I realize and
I think this new time will be about rediscovering... well, me.

my latest craft craze

Felting

You can do it while snuggling with your hubby on the couch, you can do it in the car, you can do it while you wait for your next client to arrive....its FELTING!

My mom signed up for this gals class ,  i was buried with books and school and couldn't attend but my moms motivation was INSPIRING!

You can bet your tushy I'm gonna sign up for the next class!

This lil beauty i made is for a baby . I snuck a bell inside too.
You can wash it in the washer and dryer, teething babies can chew on them, dogs can chase them.
The base (white part) is made from a  local Arizona Navajo-Churro organization.

Are you guys felters? If so I would love to see your work.

My next felting project to perfect is soap felting...it exfoliates, lathers and its unique! Here is a gal I found on Etsy who has some stunning felt work...

The last few months around here

Ohh my goodness there is so much to catch up on....where does a gal begin!

Lets go back to November. It was a bit hectic with school finals, dog surgery & recovery,  hosting Thanksgiving in our home, traveling  to Colorado to visit a soul sister and also the celebration of our one year wedding anniversary but it was all so very worth it. Don't ask me how I got through it! Well actually go ahead and ask...oh you would like to really know? Well I will tell you my secret... Ive learned while going to school which can be very stressful at times while trying to have a fulfilling life with satisfying my family, creative, and just enjoying "life"needs I have come to rely on this lil tidbit...are you ready?
Its to do one thing at a time. YES that's it! And let me tell you it sounds so simple but do you really put it into practice?
It involves letting go and trusting, which is something Ive been working on over the last few years and let me tell you ...it's tough but it really works!
So next time you are feelin the pressures of the todo's just remember to take a deep breath, focus on whats in front of you and Trust that everything will come in its right time and let it go!
Here are a few juicy tidbits from the last two months...
